Hi, I'm Tom Murphy, and I provide freelance video services to the production community in the Southwest as a Video Camera Operator, Director, Editor and assistant. I still feel communication and preparation are the keys to creative, efficient production. The following is a brief resume covering my twenty five years of experience within the television industry. 1988-Present: Freelance Services for Broadcast, Corporate, Cable and Industrial Clients plus Special Events. Credits upon request. 1986-88: hired as Staff Director at KUTP/TV-45, an Independent in Phoenix, Arizona producing commercials for local clients plus special events. 1985-86: Hired as Staff News Director at KJCT/TV-8, an ABC affiliate in Grand Junction, Colorado. Shortly thereafter began producing commercials for local clients. 1981-85: Television Production Specialist for the U.S. Army, first at Fort Knox Television, Kentucky, as Cameraman, then at the SHAPE, Belgium Bureau, American Forces Network Europe, as Producer/Director. 1980: Graduated from Frankfurt American HS, West Germany. The future of video production is very exciting. The new digital video technologies are changing everything, and can still create new markets.
